DecorAI Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DecorAI – AI Interior Design (the "App", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our AI interior design app on iPhone, Android or the web at app.decoraihome.com. We've tried to write it in plain language, the way we'd want a privacy policy explained to us.
Information We Collect
Room photos you upload
When you generate an AI room design, we receive the photo you upload so we can return an AI-generated interior design result. Photos are processed to provide the service and are not sold to third parties. You can delete generated designs and their source photos from inside the app at any time.
Account information
If you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information (e.g. display name). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only the information those providers share with us, typically your name and email.
Usage data
We collect aggregated usage data — for example, which interior design styles are popular, how many AI room makeovers are generated, and crash logs — to improve DecorAI. Where required by law, this is done only with your consent.
Device information
We may collect device information such as device model, operating system version (iOS or Android), language and time zone. This helps us keep the AI interior design app stable on the devices people actually use.
Purchases
If you purchase an in-app subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive a confirmation of the purchase but never see your full payment card details.
How We Use Your Information
- To run the AI interior design features (generate room redesigns, save your moodboard, restore purchases).
- To improve DecorAI — fix bugs, train style presets, and prioritize new features.
- To send important account or service updates.
- To prevent abuse, fraud and unauthorized access.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you live in the EU, UK or another region with similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases: contract (to provide the service you asked for), legitimate interest (to keep the app stable and secure), consent (for optional analytics and marketing) and legal obligation (for tax, fraud and law-enforcement requests).
Sharing
We don't sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run DecorAI:
- Cloud hosting and storage providers (to keep your designs accessible).
- AI image-generation providers (to render your AI room design from your photo).
- Analytics and crash-reporting tools (configured to respect your consent choices).
- Payment processors (Apple, Google) for subscriptions.
All providers are contractually bound to keep your data confidential and to use it only for the purposes we describe.
Data Retention
Room photos and AI-generated designs are kept while your account is active and you choose to save them. Deleted designs are removed from active storage immediately and from backups within 30 days. You can request full account deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].
Children's Privacy
DecorAI is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in regions where that is the threshold). We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used DecorAI, please contact us so we can remove the account.
Your Choices and Rights
- Access, correct or export the data we hold about you.
- Delete your account and associated room designs.
- Opt out of optional analytics in the app settings.
- Manage your subscription through the App Store or Google Play.
- Where applicable, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest where supported, access controls and regular security reviews — to protect your information. No method is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep DecorAI a trustworthy place to dream about your home.
International Transfers
DecorAI is operated globally, and your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your information.
Third-Party Links
DecorAI may link to third-party websites such as the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as DecorAI evolves. If we make material changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
